Originally from Great Britain, Shane Kerwin now lives in New York City. He graduated from Drumtech, London in 2006 with distinction and has remained an in demand musician ever since. Although from an orchestral background, he has recorded musical styles from jazz to indie-pop and has held residencies in casinos and live-music venues since the age of 16.

Shane has held teaching posts in 4 State Schools, an Internationl BAC School and a Prep School, teaching ages from 6 to 18. He has taught music for exam grades for the last 3 years, maintaining a 100% pass-rate. He is enthusiastic about drum education and dedicated to raising standards. Shane is also in demand as a private drum instructor and has introduced students of absolutely all ages to the drum set.

Despite a busy teaching schedule, Shane remains an active performing and recording musician. You can hear him on records from respected singer-songwriter Vincent Cross, award-winning vocalist Anna Goldsmith, the astonishing young guitarist/singer-songwriter Davy Knowles as well as the upcoming album from Truman Falls. Shane is currently playing and recording with artists all over New York City.
